Bronte Village

Bronte Village is a vibrant waterfront community founded in the 1830’s and remained its own village until its amalgamation with Oakville in the early 1960’s.  There is a vast array of housing types spanning across the decades of growth.  Bungalows, side splits, two storeys, townhouses and condo apartments (including the stunning new “Shores” building overlooking the lake) are all available to residents.  Further high rise building is expected with the redevelopment of the Bronte Village Mall.

This is a great community that provides the luxury of lakefront access and the convenience of walking to stores, restaurants and one of Oakville’s two harbours.  The recently constructed Bronte Marina makes this neighbourhood a boater’s dream.  In addition, Bronte offers quiet streets, mature parks (including the lit Bronte Athletic Field) and good schools.  In general, the area is experiencing a transition with significant investment in renovations, additions and custom homes.

From a commuting perspective, Bronte has good QEW access and is ideally situated close to the Bronte GO Station. The recent expansion to include a Speers Road platform entrance has made the morning park that much easier.  Other convenient amenities include the Bronte Harbour Yacht Club, proximity to Coronation Park and winter skating on the creek.
